If you’re passionate about gender equality and keen to collaborate with AWARE to work on an independent project to promote positive change around gender issues in Singapore, you’ve come to the right place!
We work closely with allies and supporters to maximise impact and engagement across various communities like individuals, students, interest groups, other VWOs, schools, offices, housing groups, etc or even a group of like-minded people. AWARE would be happy to provide expertise, guidance, support and resources as well as a platform for you to share your ideas with others and implement them.
We welcome collaborations with organisations, groups, students or individuals in a number of ways, including but not limited to:
- Email interviews with projects related to women’s issues and gender equality (dependent on staff capacity)
- Internship opportunities
- Participation in forums on a selective basis
If you would like to explore how you or your organisation could collaborate with us, please contact us here.

1 Sexual Assault Care Centre (SACC)
Sexual violence is a reality in Singapore and it’s time we talk about it. Survivors often do not come forward due to stigma, fear of not being believed, victim-blaming attitudes prevailing in the society and the threat of safety.
Raising awareness about the reality of sexual assault is an important step to dispel the myths and create an environment that supports survivors. This can be as simple as sharing a Facebook post about consent, sharing your experience, or bringing our first responder workshop to your organisation.
If you’d like to initiate a project to raise awareness about sexual violence in Singapore, please contact us at media@aware.org.sg.
