Introducing #asinglelove campaign

Today, we launched #asinglelove, a new movement to support and empower single parents and their families. The campaign kicks off with the online release of a thought-provoking video looking at attitudes toward single parents, and a website with resources and information for single parents. Caring for an ageing population: AWARE's Budget recommendations

AWARE submitted its annual set of recommendations for the national Budget on 26 February. In it, we urged the government to budget for care as a social good, rather than leaving its costs for families to address on their own. Read our recommendations here.

AWARE x BFFsg Roundtable: Is Singapore Breastfeeding Friendly?

Is Singapore breastfeeding-friendly? Head down to our roundtable session with Breast-Feeding Friends Singapore, where we'll discuss the issue of breastfeeding at workplaces and in public spaces, as well as how to make Singapore more inclusive for nursing mums. RSVP for the event here.
 

Volunteers party

We are delighted to invite our volunteers to our annual Volunteers' Appreciation Party, happening on Saturday, 2 April. Themed 'People Who Inspire', it will be a fun-filled afternoon of food, sharing and laughter as we celebrate and express our gratitude to the many volunteers who have supported us in the past year. Befriender Training

Women who are going through a difficult time may not be able to get adequate support from family and friends. A Befriender will accompany women who need to talk to the police or go to hospitals or the courts. If you are interested in registering to be a Befriender, fill in the form here.
